Nord Pellami operates in the tanning district of Arzignano (Vicenza), and it is considered a world leader when it comes to technological and qualitative development, innovation, as well as in terms of finishes and stylish content. It is also known for its environmental commitment and for the high standards of industrialisation of its tanning processes, which guarantee the technical quality of manufacturing on a large scale.

PART OF THE HISTORY OF THE ITALIAN TANNERY

Nord Pellami has its roots in the Valle del Chiampo, the heart of the leather processing district. It was born from the family traditionof tanning of the Ferrari Cav. Rodolfo Tannery, one of the first tanneries in the Valle del Chiampo, which contributed to bringing the Italian tanning industry to life.

ITALIAN LEATHER PRODUCTION

Nowadays, Italian leather manufacturing represents around 22% of the world production and 65% of European production. It is mostly made up of small and medium-sized companies, which operate in areas that are highly specialised, firstly, by type of processing, and secondly, according to the intended use of the product (footwear, leather goods and accessories, clothing, furnishings…)
